The newly approved bats from Little League must contain this logo.
There has been plenty of confusion regarding the new Little League bat rule which is set to be implemented January 1, 2018. This page is designed to (hopefully) alleviate some of the confusion.
Starting January 1, 2018, Little League International will implement the new USA Baseball Bat Standard.
This means that Little League-approved baseball bats that are approved for use for the 2017 season will no longer be acceptable for use in any Little League game or activity starting on January 1, 2018.
Bats following the USABat standard will be available for purchase after September 1, 2017. To identify officially-sanctioned youth bats, look for the “USA Baseball” licensing mark, located on the taper. See example above.
T-ball regulations will not be changing, but these bats will now require the USA Baseball T-ball mark. All new 2018 T-ball bats will include this mark and be legal for play. All T-ball bats without the USA Baseball mark, require a sticker to make the bats legal for 2018 and beyond. To download a sticker for your T-ball bat, click here.
