Hello RHLL Families!

Welcome to the 2026 Rolling Hills Little League Season! As most of you know, the RHLL Snack Shack is a huge part of our players' little league experience. We're excited to get the season started and the Snack Shack up and running again.

The RHLL Snack Shack is run completely by volunteers. Participant families from the Major, Intermediate, Minor and AAA levels have the opportunity to "sign-up for their dates and position (Front Window, Back of the House, Grill, Merch or Helper/Trash) at the RHLL Snack Shack through the Sign-Up Genius. Please read this information carefully as it will answer any questions you may have about your obligation to work the Snack Shack.

Families at the Major, Minor, Intermediate, and AAA levels will be responsible for TWO shifts per each child registered at these levels. If a family has multiple children in the program they will be responsible for the sum of the shifts. For example, if a family has a Minor player and a Major player the family will be responsible for covering four shifts during the season. (Please note that parents are responsible for covering their own shifts - not passing it along to high school-aged children or relatives to cover, unless arrangements are made in advance with the Snack Shack coordinators.)

Snack Shack Deposit Obligation

Each team will have a designated Snack Shack coordinator. The coordinator is responsible for ensuring team parents sign up for their shifts or buy out of their shifts. Each family who does NOT buy out of their shift is obligated to provide a $250 deposit check for each shift they are required to work. This is to help ensure that shifts are covered. The Snack Shack coordinators will collect deposit checks at the beginning of the season.

If a family signs up for their shifts) and is then unable to cover the shift, they are responsible to find someone to "trade" with who is scheduled for another shift. If no substitute is found, the "for hire" list will be utilized and the family must pay the $250 fee (your deposit check is cashed). At the end of the season, deposit checks are destroyed for all shifts that are fulfilled. The arrangements for a "hired" worker must be approved by Snack shack coordinator with a minimum of 48 hours notice before the scheduled shift.

During the week, three positions are available (Front, Back, Grill).

Saturdays have three shifts of three positions per shift (Front, Back, Grill). On Saturdays, there is one additional position: Helper/Trash. Beginning March 7th, on Fridays and Saturdays,  we will also have spots available for the Merch stand.

FRONT WINDOW: The front window person is responsible for opening and closing the Snack Shack. The lock box key code to access the Snack Stack will be sent out prior to your shift. In addition, this person is responsible for taking orders, managing money and restocking at the end of the shift. Finally, the front counter person counts and records all money at the end of the evening and assists with clean up and lock up.

BACK OF HOUSE: The back of the house person is responsible for light food preparation(produce and condiments for the grill), assisting the grill person, stocking, helping take orders, restocking and tidying the bathrooms, and general clean up.

GRILL: The grill person is just that, they are running the grill. They also are responsible for grill set up and clean up.

IMPORTANT: At the end of your shift, ALL shifts are responsible for emptying all waste baskets inside and replacing with new liners, along with all trash cans outside(12 in all). Please put used trash bags inside the green trash bin located in the parking lot and replace with trash can liners located to the right inside the snack shack.

HELPER/TRASH(Saturdays Only): At the beginning of each shift, the helper reports to the Snack Shack to see if any immediate help in the Snack Shack is needed. Next, please empty the trash in the Snack Shack and in the four containers directly outside of the Snack Shack and by the grill. Please do a visual sweep of bleacher areas at both fields and pick up any trash. Finally, near the end of your shift, please emply any trashcan that is half full or more and replace with clean liners. There are several trashcans positioned around the Snack Shack, field and batting cage area (12 in all). Please empty restroom trashcans too. It is critical that we keep the areas surrounding the fields clean and trashcans empty to minimize complaints and for animal control. If trash and trashcans are not adequately addressed, your deposit check will be foregone.

MERCH TABLE. Shifts for merchandise table are available on Fridays and Saturdays starting 3/7.

For more detailed information for each position, visit www.RHLL.org and select Snack Shack under the resources tab at the top of the page. There you'll find a link to the Snack Shack Training Video. A link to this video will also be sent to your team's snack shack coordinator.

Since most AAA families are not familiar with the Snack Shack, we ask that only one AAA parent signs up per shift (families will note their team name and their division on the Sign Up Genius to avoid AAA families all working the same shift). AAA parents may work any shift available, including Friday night shifts.

Children are NOT allowed inside the Snack Shack under any circumstances.

Once you have signed up for a shift, please do not remove yourself from the sign-up genius. If there is to be inclement weather, please check your email the day of the game for cancellation information. It is your responsibility to find out if games get cancelled. You must provide at least 24 hour notice prior to shift if you are unable to show up (illness/etc) to avoid deposit check from being cashed. Failure to provide 24 hour notice will result in cashed deposit check. Individuals who would like to be on the "for hire" list should contact Danielle Martinez 310-525-4426. Workers must be high school age or older. Grill workers for hire list must be adults with prior experience. Questions about this program should be directed to RHLL Snack Shack Coordinators, Danielle Martinez, Danielle McConnell, or Caitlin Blaney.

We appreciate your time and support. It takes all of us to make RHLL the best place to play and watch baseball!

Thank you, and here's to another great baseball season!
