For the 2026 season, RHLL will offer 6 Divisions.

What to consider when registering your player:

• Players of “Little League” Age 4 must be signed up for Tee Ball.
  
  
• Players of “Little League” Age 5 may sign up for Tee Ball or Rookie (but all 1st-year players who are 5 years old should sign up for Tee Ball).
  
  
• Players of  “Little League” Age 6 may sign up for Rookie and they will be automatically placed in that division. 
  If you would like to sign them up for the AAA division, they will participate in Evaluations and will then be placed on either a Rookie team or a AAA team, based on the league’s decision.
  
  
• Players of “Little League” Age 7 may sign up for Rookie or AAA, and they will be placed in that division. 
  If you would like your child to try out for Minor, they will participate in Evaluations and then will be assigned to a division, based on the league’s draft process/league’s decision.  Please note: We anticipate that MOST 7 year olds WILL NOT play Minors.
  
  
• Players of “Little League” Age 8 may sign up for AAA or Minors.
  If you sign up for AAA, they will be placed in that division but must participate in Evaluations to ensure AAA is the proper division for them.  If you sign up for Minor, they will participate in Evaluations, and then be assigned to a division, based on the league’s draft process.
  
  Please note: Players who sign up for Minor, but who then are placed on a non-competition team (e.g. AAA or Rookie) will receive a refund for the difference in registration fees.
  
  
• Players of "Little League" Age 9-12,  please sign up for one of the Competitive Divisions (Minor, Intermediate, Major) and they will participate in Evaluations and then be drafted into Minor, Intermediate or Major. 
  
  Please note:  MOST 12-year-olds will play Majors and MOST 11- and 10-year-olds will be Intermediates*.
  
  *If you have a 10 year old who would like to play Minors, please email [email protected] to ask RHLL for a safety exemption.  If you have a 12 year old who would like to play Intermediates, please email [email protected] to ask RHLL for a safety exemption.*
  
  
• For players who sign up for a division that requires Evaluations, the league’s draft process and Player Development/Division Coordinators will determine which division your child plays in and all league decisions and team placements are final.  
  
  
• Little League age is determined by the child's actual age on August 31st of that year. Click HERE for more information.
